... spent the whole day there! We intended to leave from there and get pizza but when they all crashed in the car, we made easier dinner plans since a deep dish pizza takes 45 minutes to cook (so we discovered later when we stopped with three tired, hungry and cranky kiddos) after dinner, milkshakes and some play time we end today in Beloit, Wisconsin - tomorrow is a trip through cheese country!

Today we took a tour of Lincoln's house. Most of the furniture was original. I do not have a picture of the house on the I-pad so I can show it. It is a two story home now but when Lincoln bought it was 1 story. In the 17 years they owned a second story was added and a room in the back. From there we went to Lincoln's tomb. Wisconsin's magnificent Capitol, seat of Government and Supreme Court and second only to the National Capitol in Washington was our next port of ...

Overnight rain cleared for our short trip up to Wisconsin Dells to catch up with Julie Mor, who had led the GSE team to Australia in 2012. Wisconsin Dells is the 'waterpark capital' of USA with more indoor water parks than anywhere else. In 2012, David and his GSE team spent a weekend at Spring Brook Resort run by Julie and husband Dar. It was great to meet up again over lunch and for a tour of local sights. Especially interesting was the recent ...

... of the site in 1988 and led to development. He is now well into his 80s and comes daily to Gardens to sit and relax. Lunch at a diner in Madison was followed by a visit to Olbrich Botanic Gardens, Madison's wonderful gardens. Tom and Joey had a surprise for us that evening with tickets to a stage production of Mama Mia in the impressive Overture Theatre complex. It was a very entertaining performance and showed Abba is alive and well in ...
