Today we drove to Beliot Wisconsin to attend the wedding reception of Amanda and Matt.
Amanda is the daughter of Mary, one of The Girlfriends. Amanda and Matt got married last September in the courthouse in ...
... At the end of the conversation, he invited us to tour his in town indoor theater if we were still around tomorrow. Later on, he text me and asked if were interested in touring a local dairy farm as well. The theater sounded great to us but we have seen dairy farms and was not sure we wanted to lose the time. Boy were we wrong, both the theater and the dairy farm were absolutely fascinating!
I might include those stories later.
... chilled all night not doing much! :) Tomorrow looks like we'll spend the day driving through the country side. We're trying to knock out a lot of driving this first week though corn country and then spend more time when the scenery gets becomes something a bit more interesting then the endless corn fields. Goodnight from Lena! Xo (Pics to come, as I don't have any on the iPad!) ...
Well, all the lazing reading and listening to the critters means we had some chores to get done, so today, that is what we did. House cleaning.
As a reward we got to watch the fire flies again tonight AND we got woken up at 2:30 in the morning by a HUGE thunder and lightening storm! Loved it!
Okay, I have dried dozens of times to attach a video of the fireflies, but it just won't work. If it ever does, I will let you know. Sorry.
We took a drive into Rockford today. May I say...BOO! There was one small stretch of land that had some beautiful houses on a lake, but other than that...everything we saw was broken down, run down, empty and trashed. The "highway" runs right through town but we just couldn't get out of there quite fast enough.
We came back to camp and Mike decided to detail the Jeep a bit. I, on the other hand, just enjoyed the view. I think you can understand why ;-)
