... and 64 Cuda, The owner Steve was real nice and gave us a tour. Dave P had a lot of questions about working metal and the English wheel. Steve showed us his English wheel and all the modifications he has done to it. It was the same model Dave has. Steve also gave Dave some pointers on shaping metal. ... of years ago parts of Wisconsin were under ice and when this thawed, the Wisconsin River forced its way through the soft sandstone and eventually linked with the Mississippi River further west. During our duck ride, we passed sections of eroded sandstone from this event. Fudge is another speciality of this tourist destination so we stocked up for tomorrow night's gathering. Overcast early but developed into a pleasant day to explore two of the botanic gardens that David had visited back in 2012. First we drove south to Janesville and the Rotary Botanic Garden, which had been developed from a Council sand quarry and dump by volunteers. We found early signs of bulbs coming to life and volunteeers, working hard to prepare gardens for summer. We were delighted to meet Dr Yahr, who with his wife had recognised ...
