Family and Friends,
We thought that those of you who are not RV'ers would enjoy seeing the mechanics of moving an RV, from breaking to setting up camp.
We have made videos of each step of the process, which was a lot of fun!
This is part 1.
... Montgomery Woods, a nice walking
path through a grove of redwoods. Next stop was Eureka and the Avenue of the
Giants. What a beautiful ride winding through
these huge trees. In places, the road is
very narrow with huge redwoods on each side of you. We drove through a tree and stopped along the
Eel River and picked black rasberries.
... anyway), where we were able to drive down it. Having visited it when I was 8, i found it just as exciting this time round, if not more so!
My second experience of the Golden Gate bridge was unfortunately less successful, thanks to the sea fog that was completely covering it. Oh well, at least between us we can say that we've driven and cycled over it.
... switchbacks reminiscent of a rollercoaster ride. This thing not only went down, it cut back left in the tightest hairpin I have ever seen. As it went around and down, I mean it went down and away. I wanted to take pictures but the bike probably would not have parked without sliding. I think I let out a Yeahhhhh!, as I fell into the curve. I just let the curve take us through. I felt my stomach stay back at the top; it would catch up soon ...
... it might be one of several things, the hope is that some plastic got on the undercarriage and it's burning up. The second is the brakes got more use than necessary and are starting to burn. I get to tiny Port Arena, land of approximately 450 people and pull off to look for that plastic and see what is burning in the engine If I can. No evidence suggests any of the above.
