      ... br> We wanted to stop at a wine tasting vineyard so we picked Jeriko Winery. So glad that we did because we were the only ones there and got to sample a couple of nice wines. It was a beautiful place the the guy let us walk around the vineyard, go out where the grapes were and even sample the grapes on the vine. It was fun.

      Tomorrow we drive back to Oakland for the night and fly out at 6:00am.

      ... change south of Eureka but did not appreciate that we would be entering the coastal mountain area. There was a lot of elevation change - many 7% grades. And the heavy rain continued until....

      We went through Rattlesnake summit - 1796 feet! It started to snow - big fat wet flakes that stuck to the windshield and built up on the wipers. And the air temperature was between 37 ...

      So I got a wash and some pizza at Marino's. I marveled at the tasty crust and the pesto pie which was captivating. Finally, I'm on the road. I'm thinking about Mendocino but, end up pointed for Point Arena and the Mountain View Road.

      Mountain View Road was serious Serious grades, the most hairpin turns I have encountered yet. This was a shorter ride than the marathon through ...

      ... with the weatherman permission i'll try to sleep outside tonight..hoping the sleep would be better than inside (read: almost no sleep)...wierd dreams, rolling from one side to another...occasionally falling down...which could aslo be caused by an earthquake as we realized few nights back...a small 3.6 magnitude shake woke us up...confused and paniced...first one in my life...running up and down from the stairs..possibly looking a place to hide..but not really sure.. A fire ...
