    ... us a room on a holiday weekend within an hour and Quality Inn cut our room rate in half for the next week. By far the biggest shout out I have is for Jim (the manager and I think owner) of Harley Davidson Ukiah and his good friend Sandy.     Bushay Campground, Lake Mendicino.......

    138 sites......First day 3 campers and us. It almost seems like the twilight zone. We have never had a campground so empty in the summer months. Never got more than 6 campers the entire time we stayed... Very surprising and a little disturbing since the campground, showers and potties included, was the bomb diggity. It was a fun few days, relaxing, doing pretty much nothing.....

    ... 15 miles and then had to turn back eastward to get to our hotel. The only road back was 28 miles of more hairpin turns, not quite so bad, but bad enough. Elaine, you would not have liked this one bit!

    By the time we got to the hotel in Ukiah, we decided to go to the pool and cool off. It's 96 degrees here.
