The hotel has a great rooftop terrace; the whole city was lit up before us, all of the sites we had just walked past.  We had a drink outside; I tasted a Sicilian specialty Averna Amaro and loved it.  This liqueur is made with herbs, roots, flowers, bark, and citrus peels soaked in alcohol, mixed with caramel, and aged in casks.  We then went inside for our last dinner in Italy … at least for this trip.  We would love to ...

... main Etna craters as volcanic activity is high due to it being the most lively volcano in Europe. The temperature on top was pretty bloody cold and we put our jackets on to get out of the wind. The view from the top was fantastic, Etna was venting away and where you walked you could find small holes which had steam coming out of them – nice to warm your hands in!

... Taxis are doing great business. We end up getting a lift back all the way from Cefalù as the train remains static.
