Arrivederci al Prossimo Viaggio
... this issue. The hotel has a great rooftop terrace; the whole city was lit up before us, all of the sites we had just walked past. We had a drink outside; I tasted a Sicilian specialty Averna Amaro and loved it. This liqueur is made with herbs, roots, flowers, bark, and citrus peels soaked in alcohol, mixed with caramel, and aged in casks. Back in Cefalù
... Taxis are doing great business. We end up getting a lift back all the way from Cefalù as the train remains static.
1/10/12 After yesterday's drama with the train, we choose to stay closer to base and wander up the road past the fields of brassicas. Farmers are spraying.
