... got my stuff sorted around me and in the overhead.


Soon, it appeared that I had a row to myself. I couldn’t believe it. Then a guy from the row in front moved back to the aisle seat, but even so, now I had a free seat next to me, which makes all the difference.


I had a few scares that someone was going to claim the seat before the doors closed, but all was good.

... past the Santa Monica Pier to the Back on the Beach Café. The California coast is pretty amazing and everybody seems to be in a good mood with a permanent smile. The sun and ocean seem to be great medicine for the locals. After a couple of Fantas we headed back. Right away Owen slid out on the sandy cement and had a major 180 degree spin out crash. ... of hours down at the spa watching a couple of birds and trying to figure out what it is they were trying to do there.

On the final day after check out, we headed back to IHOP for brunch then had the chance to check out the famous Santa Monica Pier. Though the weather was not the best, the beach still had plenty of people on it.
