... which was also busy, we had a couple of kind Samaritans allow us to be seated before them. We were very grateful. Then after being seated, there was a brief, but tense disagreement between waitresses about whose table we were at. We were very happy when one waitress finally acquiesced. The service was great and the portion size was impressively accurate for the kids. A great day and evening was had by all.

... but this has changed over the years but football still is god. There is a huge stadium which is just for football and hosts about 6 games a year. Their football season is only about 11 games. Seems such a waste to have a facility so underutilised.

... drive into town and go about their Saturday tasks. At the shop, there was one long wall containing bolts of plain coloured fabrics with every shade within the colours of the rainbow. The Amish women mostly wore very conservatively styled dresses of one solid colour but the colours were not muted. They were bright - green, purple, orange, red, blue. I saw one lady wearing floral but it was a muted Liberty style tone.

... a truck stop for Wes to buy a coffee. There were dozens of trucks parked in rows and several more lined up to buy fuel. It was fascinating to watch the trucks roll in and out constantly. The building at the stop housed a food outlet, as well as toilets, showers, laundry and telephones. Wes thinks there may have been a lounge area as well.
