... each day. Everything about New York is just beautiful and fascinating. The people are so kind and all the art/buildings around the place are just magnificent.

Now I’m drinking a coffee just trying to remember how much fun I’ve had over the past week. But to be honest I am dreading this 22 and a half hour flight home.

... both sites, but the Statue one was a little heavy on the sappy side. I was reminded of Lou Reed’s “Statue of Bigotry” line in a song after visiting Ellis Island afterwards.

That was much more interesting. Sadly, most of the exhibits were in storage because of damage to the ventilation system after Hurricane Sandy. But the audio tour was much more informative.

Fantastic flight from SF to NY, although delayed, we made it in great time. Transport van direct to accommodation (hotel Bedford) was speedy. We arrived hungry for pizza which we found 9.30pm around the corner. They are pre-made and heat very large slices in a massive pizza oven within minutes. Lots of varieties to choose from. Opened our very expensive Zinfandel to have with it, yummy! We almost didn't have it as back in SF airport, they wouldn't let ...
