    ... originally there was a massive bell mounted on the rock sticking out from the sea which when the waves washed over the bell it would ring alerting passing vessels of the rock. Today however the bell is no longer there, it's now just the lighthouse.

    We leave Aberdeen at 8.00am to drive to Edinburgh airport for our Qatar Airways flight via Doha to Melbourne. We booked it months ago and got a great buy one get one free offer for business class tickets. We arrive nice and early and try not to pig out too much in the business lounge or get too drunk.     ... and apparently snow is forecast in the hills over the next few days, so that should be fun! He was a bit like your dad giving us tips on how to drive and look after ourselves. Also told us to watch out in the north as petrol stations do not always open on the weekend. Very sweet really!
