Today was very exciting, we set off early in the car to travel over the border into the Czech Republic. we collected two friends of Elfi and Gottfried inLinz, and it took about 2 hours to drive. The border was very disappointing! No guards, no passport control!
The countryside was lovely, lots of forests and alongside the Moldau river, which is a centre for lots of water sports.

... other people capsizing and breaking bones in some instances. So the milder conditions are fine by me. It was a lovely few hours and if we’d had more time in CK, we probably would have rented another one but from even further up, and spent an entire day relaxing on the river. Back in town we continued the fun, drinking beers at a very local little pub sitting on the balcony just outside of the old town, followed by a schnitzel dinner, before stumbling back home.

... with age. I had to stoop and step down, at the same time, to enter doorways to pass through metre thick walls, as if they were really meant for Hobbits. Not quite Middle Earth, though, because it felt like Dr. Seuss could have been inspired here as much as Tolkien. Our hostel epitomized the vibe, Krumlov House, with its wavy roofline and small but heavy wooden door, the skeleton key locks, the small windows set in thick walls - making it cramped but somehow cosy. ...
