We were quite depressed with ourselves considering we then had to pay out another £76 to get down to London, but I guess if this is the worst of our travel cock-ups for a seventh moneht world trip I guess we should 'quit the *****in....'
Bangor, Wales, United Kingdom thegaddabouts... Mountain Goat, they generally live higher in the mountains, but this dude had a bit of limp which is why he was down by the road side - they're pretty rare to see (1 in 50 chance), our tour guide was pretty chuffed.
Caernarfon castle was next - this was the place where Prince Charles was inaugurated as the Prince of Wales in the 60's. It was a stronghold for King Edward the 1st when he invaded Wales and is heritage listed as one of the best examples of medieval castles.

Tonight we're staying in Bala - a lakeside town, known for it's watersports and prehistoric fish that inhabit the lake! Dinner was at a pub (for something new!) and we enjoyed Steak and Brains stout pies - Brains is a beer brewed in Cardiff that Josh is enjoying - he is also getting into the Magners and Bulmers ciders!

... 8am. It took us getting on for three hours to drive across to Wales and find the right place to park. The rock itself is a few minutes walk from the farmhouse where we left the car. We took the dog and the picnic and wandered over to the base of the cliff where the others had already started climbing.
Little Tryfan is described as a beginners' climb, with a comfortable gradient and easy holds. It is good for practicing multi-pitches as it is in excess of 200 ...
... for a well deserved foot bath or two. It was hard, and hot, but so worth it, I had such a great time... can't wait to climb more things in Scotland :D :D

... we had breakfast and left by 9:15 and by the time we had dinner on the way home it was 8:00 PM. Gordon never complains and we are so pleased with his touring us.
On the way home from the canal trip we took a sight seeing trip to Angelssy which is North West of Wales and is a separate island. It is a lovely sea village with many boats.
Again no internet access today-sorry folks!
So all flights, ferrys and buses we hve to book in advance are all booked, sponge bob car ready thestart of our rally to naples, Italy - along with my durcell battery water pistol!!
Just a few preparation pictures to show what we taking.
... and shooting pictures of the beautiful waterfront and castle. I set about shopping and I have had fun doing that on the trip! Here is a photo of the castle as well as a photo of the view from our room. We have a room in a cottage instead of the main house this time and it is very nice. Tomorrow we are headed to Snowdonia Park in the mountains.
