    Exceptional B&B!

What a great place! Kate and Skip went out of their way to make us feel welcome at "My Little House"! It was such a delight, a private house with our own hot tub on a screened in porch! Everthing was so comfortable and Kate and Skip knew exactly when to deliver the delicious pastries and bread and when NOT to! And the pastries (especially the cinnamon rolls) were devine! The house was simply perfect! Since this was my husband's get-away after retiring from the USAF, Kate and Skip left him some very nice things prior to our departure. They also allowed us to stay an additional night due to bad weather and helped arrange around it! Kate and Skip went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and wanted! What a great place and super people! We will be back!!

    Anniversary delight!

We just wanted to say how wonderful the service and company are at Two Wee Cottages. We are in the service industry ourselves and pay particular attention to that detail and boy, were we pampered! Kate met us at the door and gave us the grand tour and made sure every provision was met with efficiency and graciousness and Skip tended to every detail with regards to setting up the jacuzzi and making sure we had fresh towels at every turn. It seemed every time we came in from shopping, dining, etc. Kate had delivered fresh baked goodies for us to munch on. We rarely get to "get away" and this little vacation was just the respite we needed. The house was immaculate, the gardens delightful and the screened in porch became our favorite place to sit and watch the birds. In short, would we stay there again? You bet!

    A wonderful honeymoon getaway

My wife and I spent our honeymoon at "My Little House" and had a wonderful stay. Kate and Skip were always willing to give us advice on places to go, places to eat, and things to see. When we decided to go hiking, they were willing to let us borrow their personal binoculars and water bottles. They are a friendly couple who are willing to talk with you, and are also willing to give you your privacy. While the cottage is in their back yard, we never felt like our provacy was being intruded upon.

Skip has been improving the grounds and the pictures on their website don't do it justice. They have finished several water features, as well as building a gazebo with the herb garden around it.

When we did have problems with our stay, due to Mother Nature, Kate and Skip were willing to come to our aid to make sure our stay was relaxing and perfect.

The food was delicious, the snacks were amazing, and the lemonade was just what my bride and I needed after a long day in the hot sun. If they know that something special is happening during your stay, like a birthday, they are willing to help the event go off without any stress on you.

We would definately recommend anyone staying. It smelled wonderful, the towels were so soft, and we just never wanted to leave. Thanks

First B&B Ever- Definately Be back

2 Wee Cottages was the first B&B my girlfriend, now fiance, and I have ever visited. On arrival we were greeted by Kate and Skip and shown the property. We chose to stay in the "My Little House" cottage. Boy did we make the best choice. Upon walking in this cottage it was instant relaxation. The well maintained and beautiful antique furniture gave the cottage a sense of that 'back home' living. We were shown the enclosed screen porch area which came to be the most gratifying spot for relaxation. On the porch was the 'private' hottub that was heated for us to jump right in. Then it was ours, no nagging or pestering owners.... peace and quiet!!!

Kate and Skip noticed a small piece of jewelry on my fiances hand and Skip rushed from our conversation to return with a wonderful gift for the two of us. That bottle of wine and hottub was the perfect relaxation tool for the two of us. Kate and Skip are great people. They catered to our requests (not many because it was all great). and run 2 Wee Cottages as a top notch establishment. I have and will recommend this establishment to all friends and family who need a weekend of privacy and relaxation in the hill country of Texas.

    Most enchanting B&B!!

We are absolutely spoiled! Kate and Skip are the nicest and most gracious hosts anyone could ever wish for! The cottages were sparkling clean, well stocked (even down to the mosquito spray!!) and totally enchanting.

We felt like we were a million miles away from anything, yet we were just a minute away from downtown. I loved the hot tub on the screened in back porch! There was so much privacy. The yard is something out of Better Homes and Gardens!

It also helped to know that Skip is a retired police officer. We felt so safe and secure! Any woman would feel secure staying with them alone.

We just had the most wonderful time. Words cannot describe this place! You'll just have to experience it for yourself!

Wish We Were There Right Now!

We had a wonderful time at Two Wee Cottages. Before we arrived we were certain that our instincts served us well, as the host whom I booked with gave me a sense of security and seemed as sweet as pie.

Upon our arrival we entered the property, we both felt a sense of charm and magic. We felt like we had entered our own little fairy tale consisting of a landscape that was as romantic as it was quaint. The bubbling rock waterfall that fell into the fish pond was the highlight of the outside area, closely followed by the ivy laden gazebo made it seem like we were having our own little euphoric love story filmed in front of us.

The cottage... (known aptly as My Little House) was superb. It wasn't just the immaculate condition, but the little extras that made it so charming. (Take a look at the antique door which acts as a canopy above the bed!)We suggest taking a look at every single little piece of the room. It is quite elegant.

The hot tub was incredible. This is the first Bed And Breakfast that my husband and I have stayed in that actually had it's own hot tub in a screend in porch.

When we come back...we will never stay anywhere else!

    Not As Good As Expected

Based on web site and talking on phone, we had much higher hopes for the Two Wee Cottages. Property on which cottages are situated is much smaller than portrayed on web site. Owners home is very close. Cottage was nice, but could have benefited from a bit more cleaning. No, it wasn't dirty, just I tend to notice things like the dust under the bed! It was a bit confusing what was offered in our kitchen. There was a loaf of bread, but couldn't tell if it was left over from previous guest or if it was for us. There were some pastries left for our breakfast, but we didn't know what to do with them.....they almost didn't looked cooked and have pink sugar sprinkled on top. Were we supposed to bake them? This is one of those properties where it's really challenging to be specific about what did not meet your expectations because it's important for readers to get as much information on which to base decisions. I'm sorry that I can't be more specific, but will say that this would not be a place where we would return.

We do not misrepresent the size of our property or proximity of our home to the cottages on our website.

We enjoy excellent feedback from our guests and have heavy return patronage.

We welcome any guest who visits to feel free to come to us personally with any concern while on site.

Kate & Skip are the best

My husband and I have stayed in a few B & B's all over the US, but staying at the "Two Wee Cottages" was the very best. Kate & Skip know how to ran a B & B. If you want to be pampered this is the place for you? Privacy, no problem. Kate's pastries are to die for. The grounds are breathtaking. When you step into the "Granny Hein House" it is like stepping back in time. We would highly recommend "Two Wee Cottages". We are going again in December and plan many more visits to the "Granny Hein House". Kate & Skip make you feel like welcomed old friends.

    Best B&B Experience Yet!

My husband and I snuck away to Fredericksburg for a quiet weekend in December, and we were so glad we chose to stay at Two Wee Cottages. We have stayed at B&Bs in the area before, but have finally found 'our' Fredericksburg B&B. We chose to stay in Granny Hein's house, and the pictures we had seen on the Web site did not do it justice. The cottage is beautiful and the coziest place we had ever stayed away from home.

The owners, Skip and Kate, were wonderful, and we felt right at home. We really enjoyed the screened-in porch with hot tub, and the terribly comfortable king-sized bed made us hesitant to hit the streets for some last minute Christmas shopping! A weekend wasn't long enough at Two Wee Cottages, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from it all in pampered privacy.

... had to have warm homemade peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream for lunch. Delicious! We're sorry we can't take some of these peaches to Ohio since our peach crop was frosted out this year. We drove to Carlsbad, NM by 8:00PM. After checking out several hotels and being discouraged with their prices we stayed in a deluxe cabin at Carlsbad KOA. It was perfect and half the price of the hotels. We had planned to make this ...

Jeff's family headed back to Newtown PA today. Dad toolk them to the airport at 6:30 AM. They arrived home safely, happy to see temperatures in the 70's. Did you know Giselle hates the heat? No one will ever question her love for her niece. She brought her whole family to TX at the end of July just to see Ailish. We love you too, Giselle! No one can understand like mothers how important it is to get the whole family together. Doing it in Texas was extra ...

Left for San Antonio to visit Sea World. This was one of the places the children really wanted to go while they were in Texas. Sea World in late July in San Antonio is not for wimps! The temperature was 100 degrees all day! We walked from one end of the park to the other several times to see specific shows and we never heard one complaint from any of them. They are great children! The Sea World misters were a life saver and the best ...

Gathered at Sara & Colum's for breakfast tacos from Dan's Hamburgers. It has become a tradition of ours ever since Chad & Monica introduced them to us. I have yet to have a hamburger from Dan's Hamburgers but they have the best breakfast tacos in town. We spent the day exploring the Splash Parks in Austin. Not sure if the temperature reached100 degrees but it sure seemed like it. The children loved the splash pools and the adults looked for ...

After breakfast, we packed up bathing suits, towels, water, snacks and other items, piled in the car and headed back to Johnson City and Pedernales State Park for a day of rock climbing and swimming.

I'm not sure how it started, but they played a trivia game related to the video game (Mindcraft) they all have been playing. It actually was pretty good, Brando, of course, was asking all the questions, but it was like he was reading them instead of just asking ...
