I just feel that way as I pack up the remnants of my life into physical and spiritual boxes. A nice day out on our bikes... to the un-church in the morning and then rode our bikes to Timbuk2 to get a new backpack... Enjoyed a stop over at a art gallery where some friends of Spencer were exhibiting their photographs...

Meanwhile I am posting on my new laptop in a cafe where the folks at the next table are outlining a new film script plot... ahhhh California, how I missed you.

Its nice to be out and about on a truly fine Sunday in SoCal with my amazing son.

... wheels on my feet again! Skating on Venice beach was the name of the game and I was very impressed with how quickly Jinny took to it. She went from "I'm not sure, but I *think* I might be having a good time" to "I'm definitely having a good time" in about five minutes. And not even a hint of falling over. Apart from when we hit sand on the paths. That stuff stops your wheels dead! Still, we managed to stay upright and make it back to the skate shop in one ...

... br> The guy walking Venice beach that could rhyme absolutely anything and would follow you around with a cool personal rap about you.

Contrary to popular belief we did not see one syringe in the sand of the beach, and neither of us have caught Hepatitis.
