... slides, had to crawl through small coves and climb underground waterfalls which was amazing. The whole trip lasted 5 hours and was tiring but worth it. We were also given hot drinks, a flapjack and chocolate along the way followed by soup and a bagel at the end.
For dinner a few of us had grouped together and cooked a big serving of spaghetti bolognaise, it works out much cheaper that way and we had enough left for lunch too. Went to the pub next door after dinner just for ...
Aufbruch, Auenland, Rotorua, heiße Quellen =)=)
... Nase, den alle kennen mmmmmh. Der kommt übrigens vom Gas Schwefelwasserstoff, was es bei den ganzen thermalen Aktivitäten zu genüge gibt^^ Was mich wunderte, war dass die kleinen Enten die Schlammbäder trotzdem toll fanden. Wir haben uns überlegt, dass die das vielleicht nicht anders kennen… ;)
Naja, ich schreibe mal nicht so viel, lasst euch einfach von den Bildern umhauen. Abends ging es thermal weiter, dazu aber ein neuer Abschnitt ;)

Day 5 - Rainy Day in New Zealand
... back to Cosy cottages, we could see steam everywhere, apparently the geothermal mud baths and mineral springs, steam up a lot more when it is raining. We stopped at one of these steamy spots and walked over, I must say, although the smell is brutal, it is pretty cool to see pools of boiling mud spitting and bubbling from the ground.
Back to Cosy Cottages, Mikkel and Alan are cooking supper. Spend the evening relaxing and reading.

Rotorua is a small city in the Bay of Plenty that is famous for all of the geothermal areas as well as adrenalin activities. We spent a few days exploring all the attractions, both cultural and fun. We went for a ride up the gondola and tried the lugeing.
