... enjoyed the trails. The scenery of mountains is nice for us Florida folks. Also the cooler weather at night is welcomed.

Hopefully we will have the internet at our next stop and not have to go to the visitor center to get our fix.

We spent another day in Harrisburg as I was feeling under the weather. But the next morning I was feeling well enough to make it to Shenandoah State Park in Bentonville, Va. It was only a 150 miles and we are now enjoying the state park. Bentonville is close to Front Royal, Va., the start of the Skyline Drive in the Shenandoah National Park.

The campground is very nice but doesn't have wifi:(( and no TV:)) but Suzanne and I have been reading a lot. I can ...

... we were past the steep and rocky sections of the trail and now on an old fire road. In a short ways, we turned right on Weakley Hollow Fire Road and took this back to the trailhead. It rained pretty heavily the whole way back to the parking lot, but I wasn’t going to complain. ... in the morning light. Then we got started hiking across the street on Fox Hollow Trail. Initially, the trail passes through an open meadow with Queen Anne’s Lace and Bee Balm blooming. Then, the trail headed into the woods and down into Fox Hollow. We made a quick stop at the old cemetery, with graves of soldiers who had fought in the Civil War. ... day, then split a hotel room - only because the owner will pick us up and drop us off at the trail head. Had spaghetti and lasagna for dinner. Saturday, June 07 2014 Woke up to a hot shower :). Ate a quick breakfast and then got the ride to the trail. Started hiking at 8, the trail was perfect, and we finished the first 7 miles like it was nothing. Was a perfect day out, cool breeze and a shady path the whole day. Not too much to say, just an absolutely beautiful day ...
