The end is the beginning

The end of our time exploring the Adriatic Antiquities began with an early, and I mean EARLY, wake-up call . . . at 3am. We gathered one hour later in the lobby to collect our bags and head to the Athens airport.

We were equal parts excited (to get home), sad (to leave such a wonderful group of new friends) and disappointed (to end our amazing journey). But, as all good things must, the trip had to end.

5. If you are going to a non-English speaking country, it helps to reviews words on food, directions, and shopping. Knowing these words makes it easier to navigate.

Our day started with a walk down to the soccer field to see Derek play the first match of the season. The temperature, yet again hit the 95 degreesF and more. No shade until Chip brought down the collapsible shade house down for an instant and welcome relief from the scorching sun.
