Auch das Wetter hatte von jedem etwas. Vom stürmischen, kalten Winden und Nebel auf dem höchsten Punkt des Tracks, sonnigen und warmen Sonnenschein an den Stränden und Buchten oder feuchten, kühlen Abschnitten in den Wäldern. All das zeichnet den Bank Peninsula Track aus.

Mit frischen Sachen flitze ich schnell in den Supermarkt. Auf dem Weg dorthin überlegte ich mir, dass ich mir zum Abendbrot ...

... Unter der warmen Bettdecke schrieb ich, mit Musik auf den Ohren, weiter an meinem Blog. 40 Minuten später war mein Brot fertig. Wieder unter der Bettdecke schrieb ich die nächsten Zeilen.

Langsam wurde ich müde. Gegen Mitternacht war nicht nur der Blog fertig, sondern auch ich. Nach 4 Tagen im Auto oder Zelt war es schön unter der Bettdecke mollig warm. Ein letztes Augenzwinkern und ich versackte in eine große Mütze Schlaf.

Our final stop in the North Island (for the moment) was Wellington, and the drive into the region was awesome. The hillsides are covered in light green grass and with the sun reflecting off it, the area looked amazing. Apparently a lot of Lord of the Rings was filmed here, and actually it looks a bit like the hobbits 'shire', although I couldn't tell you whether it is or isn't.

... many interesting people to chat with, in lifts, at checkouts, in penguin hides , on trains but when you see a grown man walking down a beach carrying a mop you have to ask him ‘why?’ He was on his world tour and a mate asked him to take a photo of the mop at interesting sites. He made a lot of new friends on the beach today.
