Today we headed to Croatia, so it was bye bye Italy, I loved Italy but am so excited for Croatia and the beaches. Had a chance in Rome airport to google how to get to our hostel in Zagreb. Instead of a taxi we will catch a shuttle bus to the Bus station and then a tram to the hostel. Hope fully won’t take us to long…nothing like learning new language and signs as soon as you arrive!!
Made it by 10pm - got off at wrong stop and eventually got there!!!

From Zagreb we are Slovenia bound and headed to the city of Ljubljana. Awaiting the train we enjoed some bureks (savoury Croatian pasties that put shame to the British sausage roll). The journey ahead was to provide fantastic views of the Slovenian countryside, an area which I am already desperate to explore in the near future.

LandLubbers in Croatia
... forced to live within the city walls with no water, electricity, or contact with the outside world for 8 months while getting pelted with up to 1000 bombs per day. It's amazing that the town doesn't really show any signs of the bombing. They say that some of the roofs look newer, but I couldn't tell.
