... which still looked fantastic. Consequently I ended up with a thousand scenery shot, sorry about that !
After about 2 hours we hit the border crossing. This would have to be the remotest border crossing ever and they must stay out there as there is no town as such. Anyway the bloke we had was very nice, much better than Biggles in Skagway. This guy didn't even check then RV for hidden Mexicans Oh well next time.

... in Alaska and tourist gold panners can’t be shot. It’s probably because there isn’t a nano ounce of gold left to find but we enjoyed spending a few hours dreaming that the next scoop of soil would hold the treasured gold. So far the only find was a geocache nearby but we do have a bucket of dirt & rocks we brought home that we hope will be fruitful.

Denali is our next stop and it should be ...

... in to our rambling inn and fighting over the 4 poster king bed (the competitive one in the family won), we headed back into the centre of downtown to the Cultural and Visitors Centre. When we arrived, one of a number of Athabascan dance groups was in the middle of a performance, so we took a seat and enjoyed the show. ... in the McDonald's car park...thanks mcdonald's After a bit of research on accommodation, I returned to the hotel that I stayed in the other day. The internet search for pricing paid dividends as it saved me $60 on what they were going to try and charge me. The day was spent exploring Fairbanks, and sorting my gear out before heading off to Denali National Park.
