Today we push on from. Birmingham, Alabama to cross the State of Georgia from West to East. We will drive for about 4.5 hours today with Augusta as our final destination. Driving was good with a wee bit of misty rain at fiirst but finally blue skies and sunshine broke through. It was so wonderful to finally see some sunshine after several days ...

... the Bartram Country Club and Mark showed us some of the local area sights including the gates of the beautiful Augusta National Golf Club and downtown Augusta, which is pretty cool.

This trip was a bit of a blast from the past and confirmed we can no longer hang with the big dogs and function properly. Back to the comfortable role of grandparents as we head north to spend couple of days with our son Shawn and his beautiful family in New Bern, NC.
