When traveling with 3 kids under 10 you start preparing months in advance! We have packed each person their own duffle bag, packed an extra bag for dirty laundry, and a carload of snacks and drinks that are corn free and fun. Also, each child was given a toiletry bag to hang from eat in front of them to keep toys and iPods in. Our hope is this will cut down on anyone stepping on their siblings beloved x, y, or ...

    Summary

Drove 140 miles on 2.5 hours.

    Highlights

The purpose of this stop was to take a peak at the legendary Augusta National Golf Course, the home of the US Masters golf tournament.

The town itself is nondescript for such a famous location. Its hard to fathom where the spectators and media would stay during the tournament as its not a large town and dining and entertainment options are limited.

... Brown had a home in Aiken.

Polo was first played in Aiken in 1882. Polo ponies were imported by Tom Hitchcock in the 1880's. Tom and Tommy Hitchcock were considered to be the best at Polo (10 goalers). It is said that F. Scott Fitzgerald is quoted as saying that Tommy Hitchcock was the basis for "The Great Gatsby." Whitney field remains the oldest polo field still in existence.
