Final hours on Pender
... just after 4 pm to be sure to catch the 5.30 pm ferry back to Vancouver Island. Our final dinner together was Thai takeout (pretty brave/stupid of Nadine to pick a hot green curry after the stomach issues of the night before; May was more cautious and just had a little plain rice).
Before turning in for the night, we did a final check to make sure we had all our belongings in the camper, so that we can leave at 7.30(ish) tomorrow ...
Finding Myself
... then 9 year old son told a salesclerk that it was OK....his Mom was a dingbat but she was his Dad's dingbat. My ex had both my children convinced I was stupid. Unfortunately, by then, he had me convinced too.

Vancouver Ferry To Victoria
... from the sweet fragrances of the rose garden, we decided to stroll on the lower boardwalk to gaze out over the harbor and to look at all the items the vendors were selling instead of going to tea. After a delicious strawberry lemonade it was that time of day again when Miss Mia needed to nap! Beautiful blue skied days on Vancouver Island
... daar was het zo mistig dat je helemaal niks zag. Dus daar zijn we ook niet lang geweest. Op weg naar Port Alberni zijn we gestopt in McMillan provincial park, om naar suuuuuuuper grote bomen te gaan kijken. En ja hoor, het waren geweldig grote bomen, gemiddeld 70m hoog! Ja ik voelde me klein. Op de foto's zie je dat ze nogal groot zijn. :) (En dat is zwacht uitgedrukt)
Daarna zijn we terug gereden naar huis. We hebben dus zo'n 400km gedaan vandaag, ...

For dinner, we went to the seashore at White Rock and thoroughly enjoyed a delicious meal at Deluxe. We all recommend it for your next visit to the area.
