... really quickly before I got into the cab. I had a chance to get some makeup on when we stopped at the red lights. My cousin who was already at the wedding called to tell them they were behind schedule. I got there in the nick of time and was able to see the edding ceremony take place *phew* :)

Soon after the wedding we had plenty of opportunity to pig out: breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack (called 'tiffin'), combined with ample coffee, tea, and juices ...

After a 12 hour bus ride from Bangalore I arrived in Hyderabad. The majority of the population are Muslim and back in the 1940s they had wished to join Pakistan but in 1948 became a part of the newly independent India. I am staying at the Taj Mahal Hotel and this one is not as ritzy as the one in Mumbai but it will do just fine. Had another evening meal of a South Indian thali and a sweet lassi( not lassie) which cost me less than $2. USD.. Tomorrow I discover the city.

Habituellement le fait de porter un bangle métallique est le signe que la femme est mariée. Il y a aussi un autre signe qui ne trompe pas : les alliances qui ici se portent aux doigts de pied !!
