Cusco & Machu Picchu
I'm presently in Cusco. Took the opportunity today to go to Machu Picchu, thereby realizing a boyhood ambition. Machu Picchu was fantastic to see. I can understand why it's rated as one of the wonders of the world. I can also understand how the Spanish never really found it; buried as it is in one of the most remote parts of the world. We were told to take a raincoat, but it stayed fine and we got a good look around. Enjoy the photographs. ...

... bær með langa og merkilega sögu. Við fórum í gegnum gamla hverfið í Cusco og sáum hvernig allt leit út fyrir innrás Spánverjana. Mikið af fallegum Inkabyggingum og sáum við einnig lamadýr og frændur þeirra sem skyrptu á okkur. Cusco - AGAIN

But I must say, Cusco is a really awesome town. I really did love it. Has amazing restaurants, bars and cafes. Was really cool, perhaps a bit too touristy here and there, but still really enjoyable. I prefer to think of it as just touristy enough :)
