Up bright and early this morning to bright sunshine and frost. Opening the curtains a bullfinch was sitting in the bush about 10 feet from me so a lovely start to the day. ... we were on our way after treading the turfs back in to the ground. The time was 11.30 am so we had plenty of time to drive to our new campsite. The journey was good. We travelled up the A30 skirting the edge of Dartmoor and found ourselves on the M5 at Exeter in no time. For this adventure our flirtation with the A30 had ended. ... The road curled round the hill in between the hedgerows, the farmers plough lines in the adjacent field following the same lines, as if synchronised.
