... but this new reverse-acrophobia occurs when looking up and viewing towering cliffs overhanging above you. It becomes especially acute when you factor in the belief that the thin, fragile rocks are not a structurally sound building material. Hey you try it!

As you will see from some of our photos, many of our days in this region involved timing our outings between fog, dark clouds and rain. As everywhere, weather-persons are incapable ...

We packed up our wet tents and awning this morning and headed out of Watkins Glen. Luckily the rain had stopped, although there was some fog in the campground ( and later on the road) so I t was not too bad to pack. We were all packed and ready to roll before we tried to start the bikes, and then we found that we had managed to run the battery down on the RT. A passer by, who had stopped to talk ...

... in anticipation of the ride home. My hope is this offering to the rain gods will keep us dry all the way to Nesbit. The bike show at the rally was actually pretty well attended and organized, especially when the rain was taken into account. There were 25 or so entries in the various classes (Vintage, /5, /6 and later airhead, etc.) with a surprising number of sidecars being entered in ...
