... to the lakes we started to see much bigger houses, with amazing views over the lake. When we arrived we had lunch, and then it started to rain, so we left putting the tents and headed down to the lake. Near the lake is the highest waterfall in this area, there were two options, to either go on a short walk to the base of the fall, or to walk around the edge of the canyon and look down ...

... we ended up detouring round into farming country, which Laura was a bit dubious about, but Tim the satnav has never lead us wrong. We passed the Groveland and Livingstone correctional facilities, which were over the road from one another and looked exactly like Litchfield from Orange is the New Black - sadly minus my beloved Nicky, from what I could see! Eventually we arrived at Letchworth and found ourselves the only people in the whole park. It was ...

... look otherworldly; Stephen King's Maine brought to life. We drove for four and a half hours along the I95, hitting fog just outside of Portland and listening to music, playing twenty questions and eating trail mix to keep us entertained. We stopped at a tiny divey gas station as we were down to a quarter tank and I was getting a bit worried we'd run out. It turns out it only needed 15 bucks to fill her back up; we'd come all the way from Acadia ...

I could not sleep. After being awake for 22 hours yesterday I think I got about 3 hours sleep and I was up and dressed by 5:30 so even though I felt wide awake it is going to catch up with me. Lexx and I went down for breakfast at 6:30 where I met Hannah and then we congregated in the hotel lobby at 7:30. We found out our tour leader is a guy called Drew, he seems pretty cool and including me there are 12 people on the trek, Lexx, Lyndsey, Nicola, Molly, ...

... Auntie Denise's house in Aurora. It was a beautiful drive and we arrived at sunset. There was still some snow on the ground and it was pretty cold. The house was so beautiful like a house in a home magazine and Denise had cooked us the most delicious dinner. Nick was there and Steve and we had a really lovely evening. After catching up with them we were pretty tired from our day travelling so we collapsed into the big comfy beds. Talk to you guys soon.- Grace.
