Brief background info….Pemex is the only gas supplier in Mexico. They are all full service stations so you do NOT pump your own gas; the gas station attendants do that for you. There are also very few stations that accept credit cards, cash rules the roost.

As Nina had mentioned, we were on the road from Villahermosa to Cancun which was going to be about a 12 hour drive. Most of this trip was also going to be toll roads ...
