... of Andy Griffith. Fittingly, Mt. Airy is also the town that Mayberry was modeled after on the Andy Griffith Show. Most of you are probably old enough to remember the show, right?

The show ran from October 1960 until April 1968 and featured Sheriff Andy Taylor played by Andy Griffith, Deputy Barney Fife played by Don Knotts, Opie Taylor played by Ron Howard and Aunt Bee played by Francis Bavier. There were a host of other characters on ...

It really didn’t matter since the 64 is two lanes in each direction. We never saw them again after that. What we did see along the coast in Nags Head was a row of similar motor yachts ...

... of nowhere in Tennessee). The house itself is gorgeous, wow! Dean and his wife Laurel built it 15 years ago. It's huge and filled with so much creativity! It's got the classy southern charm mixed with jazzy, silly, artsy decorations.  I got a super comfortable bedroom upstairs with a bathroom all to myself. What a treat! Then Dean, his daughter Riley, and I went out to a local restaurant called Krafted. Riley is my age and teaches ESL in ...
