... blessing in disguise as it was absolutely hammering down with rain and the previous tour had included an hour walking around castle ruins in the rain!

Third stop - Bed and Breakfast in Inverness with no breakfast and no heating! (doing well so far)
Heating was rectified (sort of - it turned off during the night) and at least there was a hot shower!

Things improved after that. We headed south ...

After the excitement of spending New Year's Eve among 80,000 strangers at a giant street party we decided to slow things sown a little and move at our own pace. ... and it was back on the bus. With dusk approaching, we drove over to the Black Isle in hunt of dolphins coming in with the tide. No luck, but we did have a stone skimming contest.

... all history and legends aside, I found it absolutely hilarious that we were bouncing about a "haunted" graveyard on Christmas Day... all I could think of was wow... wouldn't that be just a cheery photo to send back to the folks.
