... the $5 day pass to the park. At least it also was used for Lake Itasca park. Lake Lasalle State Recreation area campground was ok. A reclaimed forest which is trying to come back it is sleepy and also a bit depressing. On the good side it has full hookups and was quiet. ... our way home. It was okay, but nothing spectacular. The girls went swimming with their cousins for the last time, and then played some games. They rounded out the evening with one last campfire.

And so...Cass Lake 2014 comes to an end. Here are the stats for the year to wrap things up:

... watching their boat move toward shore, still riding very low in the water.

At Dick's, Dad was able to get an old boat plug, but unfortunately, it didn't fit. By then he had figured out that the water got "sucked" out of the boat while he was moving, and started refilling when he sat still. So he figured if he kept moving, he could make it back to the other side of the lake, back to his resort. Not wanting to see my parents head across ...

... the hooks! She has yet to bait her hook with a live minnow, but I'm sure she'll come around on that one in time. She also learned that on a breezy day, one needs to hold onto one's hat when the boat is moving.

Although it was a bit more windy today, the weather was still gorgeous! The kids enjoyed some swimming and tubing (behind Paul's boat) in the afternoon and Jared spent three hours of his day kayaking to Star Island ...
