... few seemed to fit. But that's not my problem. I think tomorrow will be another beach day.

Every time we drive to Paia, we pass Hookipa Beach. I know I say out loud "Wow! " Because it is like seeing the first fireworks on the 4th of July.

We came home and I worked on this blog. The pictures don't want to cooperate. Guess it's because it's a Mac and the software was probably written for a PC.

... until it attached itself to some rocks, so by the time I got there he could point it out to me! WOW! Once it was camouflaged it was very difficult not only to see but also to tell it was an octopus. I did repeated surface dives trying to get down close enough to get a decent photo. We called to two passing snorkelers to come see the octopus. The four of us hung around it for a bit and we told them to keep an eye out for the turtle.

... channels between towering coral heads. We were a little apprehensive as the search and rescue forces were on hand when we arrived. They were searching for a missing snorkeler and had employed a helicopter and a jet ski in the search. We went out anyway and had a great snorkel, although we were briefly concerned when we found a stray mask on the bottom in a coral canyon. ...
