    Am Dienstag Abend ging es mit dem Flieger direkt nach Kuching auf die Borneoseite. Ich freute mich schon auf viel Natur und Tiere.
    Ich hatte in Kuching einen tollen Aufenthalt. Das habe ich vorallem der Bindi, der schwedischen Inhaberin des Hostels, zu verdanken. So herzlich und lieb. Ich habe mich selten so wohl gefühlt in einer Unterkunft. …

    ... like walking into a completely different world. We walked through several "longhouses"...dwellings that would house whole clans and families. In the theatre at the village we saw an amazing display of cultural heritage and dance...I had my doubts at first, but it was quite incredible. Next stop, the Kuching Cat Museum. Yes ...

    ... sun cage and mung bean cake, then we stopped at this Chinese shopping area for some great DVD and games. I asked my auntie to drop me off at the museums. I visited the Sarawak natural history museum, aquarium , historical museum, native history and replica of long house before I head back to the riverfront area.     ... but nothing guaranteed. The trip in and out was a full day each and it was recommended to spend at least 2 full days at the park. Not going to happen this time. We opted for a day trip to Niah National park which featured a cave system that had records of 40000 years of occupation.
