... finally asked if we where looking for the hostel and pointed us in the right direction...which is meant to be only 3 blocks away...well three blocks over here is like ten blocks in Aus...Plus the pouring rain, three bags each, cold weather, and we all have cotton clothes and nonwater proof shoes on, do you think we got wet much???Yay we make the hostel and yay can't check in for another few hours but oh there is a storage room for you bags but oh its up a massive flight of stairs, yeah ...
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada lisa_elyse... that is a lot more than English football shirts. They charge that much because people pay that much. I saw a lot of fans wearing jerseys. There were a lot of families there, it must cost a fortune to take your kids to a game, the food and drink is well overpriced but again people pay it - they sell a lot of beer. Anyway, the game is exciting and very quick, and, on occasion violent. I can definitely see why they like it so ...
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada colin... exausted and my legs like jelly, but I managed to draw on all my reserves and clamber to the top. Well it was worth it as the views were incredible. Whilst walking down we picked blueberries (which bears also feast on) to have as dessert after dinner that night. Sunday afternoon I managed to further abuse my body by going roller blading with Paul and Grace along the seawall around Stanley Park. the weather was perfect and it was a lovely finish to my time in Vancouver.

See you soon!
... see helicopters dropping water. When we arrived tonight we found it was the lead story on Canadian news. Its still out of control.
Made a stop at Whistler (site for alpine events for 2010 Olympics). Very large european-like resort area. Lots of shops. Lots of people. Arrived at YWCA. Good place, central location and the price is right.
OMG you guys, we leave in 2 weeks!!! I am so excited that I have already started packing. Only problem is, I can't decide if I should bring my purple leggings or my black ones. Oh what the hell, I'll bring them both!!! I am super pumped to be going to the first ever GAP store. I mean ...

But, today we are taking off on a road trip to Oliver to visit some other friends we haven't seen in a while. Dave and Allison own an organic fruit farm and B and B. in the Okanagan Valley. (there will most definitely be pix of this for you all to enjoy.) There place is nestled into a ...
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada rhettnroHi all, This was the day I boarded the ms Zaandam in Vancouver to sail up the Inside Passage to Alaska. We left Vancouver at around 5.30pm on Sunday 11 May. Our tour director for APT suggested we purchase drink cards on the pier as these cards would enable us to enjoy slightly cheaper drinks rather than buying the drinks individually. We all eagerly kept our eyes open with our thoughts on the kind of card that we ...
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada jules.in.canada... still on SE Asia time cause neither one of us could sleep until about 5:00am!! Steve came by and picked us up the next morning to take us out to the airport. Nice to get another visit in before heading back to the deep freeze. We are soooo happy to have missed a HUGE chunk of the super cold winter this year. We lucked out!!! The flight was on time, but we had to wait on the tarmac for about 30 minutes waiting for the new pilot to come onboard. That's the way she goes...
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada justjan... the pinks and oranges of dawn and the whole effect was quite stunning. You could almost believe magic, looking at the rosy peak against the crisp white clouds. It looked the way that I've often pictured landscapes in fantasty novels. On the ground, however, things are not so bright. It's gloomy and chilly in Vancouver (though as I type this the sun is trying desperately to peek through the clouds), causing me to be increasingly irritated with myself for accidentally ...
