... was hard, but the views were astounding. I really enjoyed hiking hard and being rewarded with breath taking views.

Once I had made it through the Whites I was on my way to the Maine. I crossed into the last state and it began to hit me that my hike was coming to an end. Currently I am only 32.6 miles away from the top of Mt. Katahdin. I will be done in 2 days and it is definitely bittersweet. It is hard for me to believe that I am this close to the end.

Not so big a fridge this time though! Tomorrow, we're off to explore Baxter State ...

... his attitude towards me and making him make this trek. And then, just when I thought he was going to push me in the stream and leave me for the bears, we were back! We signed out and realized in our group of hikers who left around us (from 6:50 to 7:15) we were the third group back! The average time for the hike is between 8 and 12 hours and we had made it in 7 hours and 15 minutes! Feeling accomplished and badass, we hopped in the car and headed back to the roadside ...
