    We were able to leave a little later than on previous family vacations because today wasn't a long travel day and we wanted to meet my former co-worker and her husband in Scranton for lunch.     After a year of planning the route is set.

    Needed to fully pack the bike in Connecticut (its home base) to move it down to Manhattan so I can work 2 days and hit the road early Wednesday.

    Arrived in Manhattan late Sunday and waiting for the Wendsday departure.
