... Wednesday morning. Leaving is kinda a bummer because it's one of my last times to hang with the Seniors. Other than hanging around, I'll be planning things to do in the 31 hour car ride, which will probably consist of stocking up on podcasts (Ear Biscuits and Movie Fights are some good ones) and creating some killer music playlists.

... which was also busy, we had a couple of kind Samaritans allow us to be seated before them. We were very grateful. Then after being seated, there was a brief, but tense disagreement between waitresses about whose table we were at. We were very happy when one waitress finally acquiesced. The service was great and the portion size was impressively accurate for the kids. A great day and evening was had by all.
... I just kept myself on Esther (2.5 year-old) duty the whole time.
While there weren't really any "wow" features of the museum, the kids kept busy the entire time we were there. Even Isaac (14) found exhibits to interact with for almost the entire time. The exhibits and activities contained a nice mix of mental and physical engagement that could draw the kids in like ...
... things like My grandparents are – nice. They like to make - a garden. G’ma is good at – crafts. G’pa is good at – building. They live in – a van. The fact that we live in a van hadn’t really occurred to us before, but we guess that’s true. That puts a new spin on things. At least we don’t live down by the river in a van, although some nights that would be an upgrade.

... at Carol Ann's City Cafe. This cafe was a winner. We split a breakfast sandwich that was delicious, and the coffee was good too. Our waitress was excellent, and there was even free wi-fi. We walked to the post office nearby (to mail Mary Dawn's birthday card) and then down the street just to see the town.
We got back to driving, and decided to go on some back roads just because. The fields and farms were beautiful. I enjoyed seeing the ...
