    I just totted up the total distance we pedaled between Rome and Canterbury - it comes to 1,892Km (or 1,182 miles).

    The ride from Canterbury to where Ian's car was parked near Gatwick was a further 137Km, split by the overnight stop at Tunbridge Wells.

    ... and just enjoyed the moment. There was a gorgeous steam train at the bottom of the hill that takes tourists up and down the line. We had a cream tea (we call a devonshire tea) on the way out, with a nice walk along what would of been the moat in days gone by, back to the car and home.
