We were still in Grants Pass but took a side trip to Cave Junction to see the underground caves. WOW was it exciting. The guide made me the "bear bait" - I was last in line to make sure no one lagged behind....and that meant I was bear bait, too. The caves are at a constant 44 degrees but it didn't feel that cold. ... excellent. The wasps forced us to move everything inside. When the guns came out some of the guys shot pistols at targets behind the house. It was a great party all in all and everyone had a good time and many laughs. I left a little after 4 PM and headed north towards Portland. ... restaurants and boutique stores. They don't even have a traffic light, just stop signs. They have the old bank on display with the original safes and most of the buildings are labeled with what was there and the year built and many of the stores have old memorabilia in the front windows.
