... pioneers that found the caves and explored them. At one point she turned her flashlight off and it went totally dark. Then she had us wave our hands in front of our faces and we could barely see it......really? Nope - she explained how our brain knows we are waving our hand so it shows a phantom vision in our brain!! Outside we took some photos of the leaves turning yellow, was so beautiful up here.

It became the county seat but when the railroad went thru Medford in the late 1800's the town dwindled, then the county moved the seat to Medford and they started losing more residents. ... yes !!!! The road up there was stunning and when I first looked over the rim I can honestly say it took my breath away. Not sure if the pics have done it justice but I have NEVER seen a blue like that water. Simply stunning !! I rode all around the lake and took pics from most areas.
