The house is a mess and I can't sleep. We are preparing to leave on our first snowbird adventure. As would be expected things are taking longer to get done than planned and disorganization is the rampant. Dan took our car to Spokane to get the tow hitch installed and we hope to leave Sandpoint on Wednesday 10/8 with the coach to get hooked back up with the car. ... we arrived so we went for a quick bike ride. We saw lots of deer and picked out seven Rocky Mountain goats in the bluffs above the lake. That was all we saw of Farragut as we headed off early the next morning towards Canada.

... That was basically a no-brainer for Jeff, so we headed up the road and found a 27 hole Golf Club with a nice new RV Park, with full hookups, showers, and laundry, in a rural setting. Within a half hour Deb was left to slave doing laundry and cooking dinner (okay, heating a frozen dinner) while Jeff went out and "flogged". The golf wasn't pretty but the course and scenery were, and we had a nice evening enjoying dinner in a quiet setting.

We finally made it. Almost 3000 miles, 8 days and tired!!!! But we're here, it's 6:30 am and I've already seen a deer in our pasture. Peaceful. We pulled in to Newport about 5 pm last night.
