... from the exit of GM. After a short lunch, we drove on through the Michigan countryside where we viewed our first deer running across an open meadow, a beautiful sight. We also saw quite a few wild turkey by the side of the road.
We reached the Canadian border at Port Huron where we were met with another downpour from the same storm. Our border wait took about five minutes and a pleasant agent welcomed us and we were free to enter. Welcome to Canada, eh!
... and there were a lot of laughs.Then to our very nice hotel (huge room, huge bed,really comfortable) where the whole group, now numbering about 10, were staying.So drinkies followed by dinner and more drinkies and comfortable and enjoyable and a nice mix of humorous regaling of past events amongst the men who were all 'fraternity brothers' at university. As usual, we were up at the crack of our dawn (7:30), got ready for the day's travels and headed 100 feet to the Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Not really sure how it happened, but once again, we didn't start down the highway until 11 am. Good intentions.......
