        ... just about come to the end of our little New England tour and have travelled through 6 states...at the moment we are in Newport, Rhode Island...home to some pretty rich folk and some serious boats!

        The weather has been great, blue skies and sunny days so we have been blessed. Back to Boston tomorrow for a week then On to New York...

        ... the USA, and had a good meal, with one great dish being the lobster macaroni and cheese – who knew? We picked up a couple of bottles of wine on the way home, and parked ourselves in the club's library.

        ... almost on my knees to get to our first floor room. We went for a short walk around town - it is very cold and still raining - so we retreated to the Oyster Bar for a drink and diner - excellent.         We then visited the Fort Adams which overlooked the port. After sampling
        some traditional Rhode Island lemonade, a cross between lemonade and
        a slushie, we saw some several schooners (2 masted boats) and some
        Cup America boats from the 1980s sailing on the bay. It is these
        boats that caused us to return two days later.
