The morning of New Years Eve, we jumped in the car with Sasha and set out to see some more of Connecticut. We saw adorable town after adorable town, and had lunch at an old fashioned general store near Goshen. We drove through Cornwall, a perfect little town with a 200 year old covered bridge. I have never used a bus pass like these so I will keep you posted how they work out.
... because you pay first (how do you know how much you'll need?) fuel is $3.35 a gallon. A gallon is just under 4 litres. Stopped at the Galleria on the way home (Fray got more stuff!) and then home by 5.30pm. Snow flakes on the windscreen as we drove home. ... couldn't tell which room was Eleanor's and which was that of the manservant by the time I walked up and down the corridor fighting my way to the doorways to take photos. Now I can only identify two of the rooms (I hope).
There were other parts of the FDR historical site to visit, like Val-Kill, Eleanor's retreat cottage, but we ran out of time so headed off for our hotel with the possibility of walking on the bridge over the Hudson if we had time.
