Historical Traveler Reviews The Twenty One Brighton

More kitkats

from yesdearlondon

I stayed in the victorian suite, for a weekend. The room was tastefully decorated right down to the old grammaphone. The ensuite were the cleanest i have ever seen in a hotel. with flat screen tvs, dvd player, there was enough to do if you wanted to stay in.Breakfast was both filling and tasty. Matt and Andy made the stay a real pleasure. But what really capped it for me was the complimentry kitkats ( take note mr hilton). Thank you guys, see you again and again and again.

The 21: home away from home

from Maggini

I can't recommend this friendly establishment within easy walking distance of Brighton town centre highly enough. Throughout my stay I was well, but discretely, looked after by Matt and Andy, for whom nothing seemed to be too much to ask. A real home away from home.

Comfortable and friendly hotel conveniently situated

from Hopemole

This is a small but stylish and recently decorated hotel, close to the beach and quite convenient for the town's amenities. I stayed for three weekend nights in their most recently released single room. It was small but tastefully decorated with a compact but carefully designed en -suite shower / toilette room.Hosts Andy and Matt couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful and were kind enough to forward a valuable item I left behind at no further cost.. Breakfasts were beautfully cooked but they would do well to develop a more varied menu. Very good value for money.

Had a lovely time at the 21

from Kalof5

Spend one night at the Twenty One in Brighton with my husband, and three year old son. We stayed in the Victorian Room, tastefully decorated, nicer linnen, spacious for B&B standards and very comfortable. The bathroom was spotless. Our hosts made us very welcome and provided an extra bed for our son ( all included in the price).

The complementary water, kitkats are also a nice touch, Breakfast was good and plentiful. To sum up yes we would come back and we strongly recommend this delightful B&B

The lovely spotless comfortable hotel with a warm welcome .

What a find The Twenty One Hotel turned out to be a real gem in Brighton's crown,I have stayed in hotels all over including the Waldorf in New York and not one of them came any where near to what I have experienced this week . I was waited on like royalty even to Andy moving his own car to get me parked up.My bag was taken up to my room, all part of the service ,the rooms and on suite were spotless, warm and tastefully furnished with comfortable beds and plenty pillows and extra bedding should you want it. The welcome included fresh flowers and tea and coffee making facility and other little homely touches in the three rooms we booked,If its the personal touch your looking for you will find it here. The breakfast was lovely too ,try the place for your self it is first class, good value for money and splendid Thank you Andy and Matt well done you could show the big chains a thing or too.

Clean, convenient, quiet and close to the beach

from UKSteve

We took 3 rooms for a short break for our 4 teenage children and ourselves. The new owners bought the property in November 06 and have been re-decorating and fitting new bathrooms. It was spotless, the owners were charming and breakfast was excellent. It's a 5 minute walk into town (passing lots of shops), two minutes to the beach and 1 minute to a pub brewing its own beer. Very quiet.

A cute stylish hotel

The best stay in Brighton

from Rachel5

The Twenty One was really friendly and went the extra mile to ensure we all felt comfortable and welcome.

All our rooms were clean and nicely set out. The breakfast was great and they were happy to accomodate any special requests and provide us with information and offers for our stay.

I would definately stay there again and I recommend if your looking for a place to stay in Brighton then The Twenty One is it.

Excellent Service

from Lowestofian

My wife and I have just had a short break at the Twenty One and despite the new owners only being there since last December, it was clear that they had made every effort to make the stay as comfortable as possible.

The room was very clean (nice cotton Sheets)and the new bathroom excellent. Fresh flowers in the room and dining room were a good touch. The breakfasts (we had full English) were substantial and good.

The position of the hotel is good and quiet being in a street off Marine Parade and is very near the sea. St James St runs across the other end of the street and there is a good variety of small shops there.

It is perhaps 5-8 mins walk to the main shops, Pavilion etc and about 15 mins walk the other way to the Marina.

The pier is very close - catch the starlings display at dusk!

All in all a very enjoyable stay - very good service .

Nice and laid back

from cotte-7

My boyfriend and I wanted a weekend out of London so decided to head down to Brighton. We didn't fancy staying in one of the big hotels so headed for Hotel Twenty-One. Really laid-back and friendly service. We were literally handed our keys, asked what time we'd like breakfast (early or late, not a problem) and then left to it. Due to it being off-season we got one of the nicer rooms for a bargain price and breakfast is guaranteed to keep you going for most of the day.
