6th - 7th July So yesterday we had our first big drive, we left at about 9 and other than a short stop we drove through, and arrived at finger lakes. We were driving through New York State, through the area known as New England. It was a very pretty drive, and went through several traditional style villages. We also drove through Ithaca where Cornell university is located. As we ...

    ... hour.

Beth's flights from Vegas to Dallas to Birmingham arrived on schedule.

For some reason, Sue did not feel like cooking when we got home, so we ordered some Chinese and picked it up on the way home. We had only had a small breakfast and a snack on the plane until we got home. Dinner tonight was at 9:30pm.

We're basically packed and ready to go on this year's Southwest Adventure! Our flights leave early tomorrow morning and we should all be on the ground in Las Vegas around lunch time. Beth will be flying out of Birmingham and will be meeting us in Vegas. From there we will be driving to Springdale Utah, near Zion National Park. Our plan is to get into town, take care of picking up all the supplies we're going to need, ...

... Auntie Denise's house in Aurora. It was a beautiful drive and we arrived at sunset. There was still some snow on the ground and it was pretty cold. The house was so beautiful like a house in a home magazine and Denise had cooked us the most delicious dinner. Nick was there and Steve and we had a really lovely evening. After catching up with them we were pretty tired from our day travelling so we collapsed into the big comfy beds. Talk to you guys soon.- Grace.
