Perfect Place
We spent a really nice weekend in Bath and stayed at this marvellous place.Breakfast is excellent, Brenda is an very good cook, the room we stayed in was very big, definitely above UK-average, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom neat and clean.
The only downside of the place was that they turned off the heating for the night and it got very cold in the morning
The perfect getaway!
We have just returned from a wonderful stay at the Town House. We were not disappointed; Brenda and Alan provide a wonderful welcome and a beautiful guest house. The 3 course breakfasts are first class and not a foil wrapped butter pat or jam sachet in sight! With papers and magazines to hand it was a delightful way to ease into the day. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean, with some lovely attention to detail. We couldn't have asked for better place to spend a weekend away from the children, the perfect location to wander around Bath and enjoy taking it easy. We will certainly be back - worth every penny!
Marvellous town house
A fabulous two night stay at the Town House. Fantastic location, beautifully presented accomodation, lovely hosts; we were given a most memorable stay. Feels like a boutique hotel, with the cosyness of a B&B. Every attention to detail, from fresh fruit, flowers, chocolates and bottled water in the room, to candle-lit breakfasts (which are superb).
Brilliant!
We stayed with Brenda & Alan at the TownHouse during our tour of the English countryside September 2005. We started our tour in Bath, and this was one of the best B&B's of the entire trip. The room was comfortable with luxurious bath and power shower, and our room overlooked the Assembly Rooms. Our hosts, however, were the best part of our stay. They took keen intrest in our comfort, without being intrusive. Their suggestions were impeccable and both of them went out of their way to make us feel like friends rather than guests. They were even gracious about a last minute change to our reservation due to a cancelled flight! The breakfasts were delicious and the entire B&B was spotless. The location is abolutely fantastic and I can't think of anything they could improve. Cheers to Brenda & Alan. When we return to Bath, we won't even consider staying elsewhere!
Relaxing and Comfortable
I spent 2 nights at the Townhouse in May, and loved every minute of it! Brenda is a wonderful cook, try her baked eggs - they're to die for... she was also very good at helping suggest must do things in Bath. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The townhouse is as beautiful as their website is. I would go back in a minute!
Fantastic!
Fantastic! We stayed at The Town House in Bath for four nights in November 2005. It is a splendid property, overlooking the famous Assembly Rooms and within two minutes walk to the Circus and the shops of Milsom Street; in fact, the location could not be better for walking around this beautiful city. The room we stayed in was spacious and luxurious, comparable with a five-star hotel. The owners, Alan and Brenda Willey, were perfect hosts in every respect (even going to some considerable trouble to help us retrieve a lost camera we had negligently left in the back of a taxi). This is an excellent place to stay - it is everything that its web-site suggested it would be. We will certainly be returning next time we're in the UK.
A brilliant Guest House
My friend and I stayed at the Town House for 3 nights as a short break away. We were unsure what to expect, but were amazed. Brenda and Alan welcomed us warmly and helped us plan our activities.
We were able to rent the garage which was wonderfully secure and meant that we did not have to worry about the car at all.
The situation is brilliant. We could see the Assembly rooms from our bedroom window. It was a 5 minute walk to the main part of the town and most attractions.
The whole House is beautifully and artistically decorated and our room was out of this world, certainly better than many expensive hotels. We had the romantic suite which was really large with absolutely everything we needed.
Breakfasts were served attractively and were delicious. There was a wide variety of choice.
We certainly hope to return here and would strongly recommend it.
A Gem
What a great place to stay! We booked into the Town House for three nights. Our room was clean, modern, and tastefully decorated. The owners are just a delight: they are professional, friendly, and full of tips on local sites. They also cook good breakfasts. Our room had a private garden entrance which we liked very much. The Town House is located on the Circle and is about a 5 minute walk to the Crensent. The center of town is a 5 minute walk in the opposite direction. We highly recommend this B&B and hope to visit again sometime soon.
Fantastic!!
We were planning a weekend away to bath and on my search for somewhere to stay I came across the Town House website and I'm so glad I did as we had a really lovely weekend!!!
Firstly you can't fault the location of the Town House, its a 5/10 minute walk to the city centre and a short stroll to the Royal Crescent. If you are driving to Bath you can't park outside the Town House but Brenda and Allan directed us to a car park a short drive away which was £6 for 24 hour parking - not a bad price at all in our opinion.
The Tow House itself I couldn't fault - the room that we stayed in was on par with a luxury hotel - it was impeccably clean and had lots of lovely little extras including bath robes & chocolates. The breakfasts were delicious and certainly set us up for a day walking around the city. All in all Brenda and Allan made us feel very welcome and the Town House get 10 out of 10 from us.
A GREAT B&B near the Circus
I used the VisitBath website to look for Hotels and/or B&Bs. I found no reviews on the Townhouse! Although it appears to be recently renovated and as such may be a new addition. I was very happy about the location, which was just off the Circus and across from the Assembly Rooms/Costume museum. The area is quiet and within a nice neighborhood, just 15 minutes walk to the Abbey/City Center. The Townhouse is a B&B hosted by Alan and Brenda Willey who welcomed me as you would an old friend. Upon my arrival they helped me coordinate my Bath and Somerset sightseeing tours, which saved me some running around at the start. I stayed in the Garden Room which was private and had its own entrance, more importantly comfortable and quite spacious, especially the bathroom, very clean as well (I travel frequently, have spent 18 of the last 26 months in hotels and I am very picky!). I had no complaints whatsoever!!!! The breakfasts were wonderful of course and my room had tea, coffee and cocoa with a hot water cooker. I could go on about my lovely visit to Bath and my stay at the Townhouse, but I shall end here with a high recommendation for the Townhouse! ------------------------------------
