... That averages to 60 miles per day. The first two days were pretty flat but then I entered the Appalachian mountains and the going has been harder since. My favorite part is coasting down a windy mountain road. But such joy comes at great cost. Because my pace downhill is 6-7 times my pace uphill, I spend at least 85% of the time climbing even if the distance is equal up and downhill. Jefferson National Forest is amazing with large canopy trees weighed ...

... 2 drinks for the price of one. So a very cheap night we had indeed. Quite a few of the bars we have enjoyed have had these deals going on. They are usually on certain days of the week or certain times of the day. Just another version of a "happy hour" I guess. That's about it for our night in Boon. No photos this time either as it was too difficult to grab a snap in between the trees, and the rest of the trip today was just interstate ...

turkey, fox, raccoon, etc. Enjoy spring wildflowers, cool mountain
summers (rarely a recorded temperature above 80 degrees), fall colors,
& plenty of winter snow skiing.
