... other main squares I had seen so far throughout Europe. I was completely floored when I walked into the square. All of the buildings are over 400 years old and most are covered in gold ornamentation that shined so brightly in the sunlight. I was so impressed with the beauty of the square.

... Vleeshuis, the old building that used to belong to the meat worker's guild. It's essentially a building made to look like bacon, which is pretty amazing.

So after a very early wake up (3am), a rowdy night bus, a delicious giraffe breakfast and a complimentary newspaper, we were away!

The amount of work to be done in cleaning the cathedral is incredible.
