... next boat who took our lines. Once moored up, we took the dinghy off and put it on the roof and then went off to the supermarket and lovely to see the different foods and sweets again. We bought some of our favourite Dutch beers Hertog Jan as well as the shopping.

Later on about 6pm John borrowed one of the bikes that comes free with the mooring and went off to explore the town. It is quite large with a central Grote Markt, and at this time of the evening ...

We had something to eat at the Grand Place in Brussel, and then it started to rain and it was not so much fun. We saw the Mannekin Pis which you can see everywhere on pictures (weeing boy).

Brussels is also where the European Union control Europe. A lot of new and large buildings with flags from various countries.

We wanted to get some Belgian waffles for breakfast (see attached photo), all I can say is it wasn't like Harroways Rolled Oats! We then jumped on a train to Antwerp which is where 80percent of the worlds uncut diamonds are traded! There are streets and streets and streets lined with diamond jewelry, we just can't get over the amount of bling! I spent a fair bit of time waiting on someone who was looking at all ...

... and walked further down Marche aux Herbes to the Belgian Stock Exchange or Beurs. They had two large lions guarding the gates just like Phi Mu back in Atlanta <3. Too bad, no one was around to help me pop a quat in front of the lions. If it was a little warmer, I would've grabbed a waffle sat down and watched the traffic go by, but it was WAY too cold to stop. So, I moved on.
