    Made it as far as Warrenton, Missouri on day 2. As you can see by the picture, Braddock has become a lapdog. Nice weather and mostly decent roads so far. Tried a short cut in Western Kentucky, though, where the two-lane highway had bumps and dips and a very narrow bridge over the Mississippi River. Probably won't do that one again. Nebraska ...

    ... a frozen yogurt. Then on to our hotel, a Quality Inn in Foristell, MO. It's an okay place, no place nearby to eat, though. So we backtracked down the road to Wentzville and ate at Bandana's BBQ. The food was very good, and the price was pretty good, too.

    ... My crossing of the Mississippi was the McKinley Bridge which was used by the 1926 Route 66. Once in St Louis I headed for the magnificent Gateway Arch and took the tramway to the viewing platform inside the top of the monument.
