... outside and conversations vary from incredulity about the length and route of our journey to amusement that we should have chosen to do so in such an old car.I've lost contact with the answer to "why".
So this third of our journey is perhaps not quite so awe-inspiring as the the earlier sections but we were prepared for this and now we enter the exploration of less natural entities in Chicago and New York.The weather? We still seem to be pushing the bad weather ahead of us.

Football madness...
... along the sidewalks surrounding the Capitol Building. As we walked, we couldn't help but notice all those dressed in red. It was clear that the game was at home today. After we browsed the market we popped our heads into the Capitol Building.
Then we made our way over to State Street Brats to watch Wisconsin beat South Dakota. The place was awesome with huge screens. They even put on the rest of the Clemson game fur us. Both teams we were rooting for came out on top. Win-win! ...
Making a quick trip through 3 states
A real, hot breakfast at the hotel then on the road again. We traveled into Illinois and took 294 around Chicago. Passed O'Hare International Airport. On 294, the rest stop is called an "oasis" and it stretches across the highway. Just had to get off on one to check it out. Pretty cool watching the traffic pass by below. ... the university housing site in Jaen looking for an apartment near the center of town.
I will definitely be relieved when I'm in Spain and settled in some place to live. Housing is still the thing causing me the most stress. Everything else is good. I am excited to go, but have no idea where September went. I can't believe it's nearly October!
