The first legs of our journey to India

On a snowy early morning we drove to Madison, met Leo who dropped us off at the bus station just in time to board. Nice and easy trip to O'Hare airport in Chicago with plenty to time to go through Security and rest and get on board Air India's super big flight to New Delhi non-stop. Totally easy but not too comfortable, uneventful trip, lots of food, could sleep with some pills to help, saw an Indian movie on corruption.

... our hopes of reaching Fargo by nightfall.

We are very happy with our decision. Taliesin is an unparalleled experience. We had a wonderful tour with Shockey (yes, that was her name) and were escorted through the house by Donna, a charming woman who played in the house as a child, when Wright still lived there.

... one of those crazy eccentrics that had a genius that bordered on insanity…my opinion. He fell in love with a favorite picnic spot and decided to build a house on top of a rock spire. The design of the house was a fabric of his imagination and molded to the shape of the rock, incorporating the raw rock into the floor and walls of the eleven rooms. He eventually had local tradesmen helping him with his “vision”. Well, once he finished the structure the ...
