... the fire making smores! We'll also remember to bring our outdoor fan. Luckily we had a really nice shady spot, very private, with woods on the other side of us. It would have just been a little more bearable with some air circulating.

We met up with the sponsor contact who told us that she had someone else set up to drive us: Allison, a young woman who works at the YMCA along with our contact. I made two further stops in northern Delaware at the Delaware Art Museum and Winterthur. The Delaware Art Museum in Wilmington is a rather small collection housed in a nice building in a suburban neighborhood that mostly consists of American art. The most notable features of the collection are over 100 works by Delaware-based illustrator Howard Pyle and works by members of the so-called Pre-Raphaelite school.

... was starting to rain as we walked out. If they got the second game in, it certainly started late. Had it been a regular nine-inning game, we'd have still been there, and would have had to decide whether to sit out a rain delay or leave with the game unfinished.

Game was uninspired; it was 2-0 in favor of the visiting Salem Red Sox when we got to our seats, but the Blue Rocks put up four a couple of innings ...
