Getting Ready

We are finally getting to use our newly purchased used motorhome. We purchased a motorhome to make it easier to travel with our 16 year old cat, Ember, who has a number of health issues and needs daily medication. Hopefully she will be comfortable in her home on wheels, and enjoy being with us.

All that is left is the final packing of the motorhome before we set out tomorrow morning.

This is our shakedown journey, so we hope all goes well. ...

... before that point. I took care of filling up our fresh water, dumping grey & black water, and throwing our trash out. By 8:15a, we were on our way.

We met up with the sponsor contact who told us that she had someone else set up to drive us: Allison, a young woman who works at the YMCA along with our contact. Allison got us into her car and we were off! They had quite the schedule for us today (yay!) and they had even typed it up and printed it ...

... seen it yet!). We’re hoping for lots of happy renters but also that there will be times when we can use it ourselves.

And in case all of that wasn't enough, we also threw in a quick trip to Shanghai (David) and Atlanta (Sandra) while the furniture was traveling across the country. Fortunately, this year, we were the Thanksgiving guests rather than the hosts (Carol & Marie to the rescue!!) at a great party in Palm Desert
