A couple of months ago in a spontaneous moment of madness we decided to buy a Camper Van and set off to tour Europe, breaking off to spend the winter in our house in Spain. Passamos duas semanas la. Tinhamos o domingo livre e trabalhavamos durante os dias "normais". Considerando como normais os dias de semana mais sabado. Vale lembrar que a organizacao nao trabalha usando essa coisa chamada de calendario. Para eles nao existem feriados, e eh muito comum que eles tambem "esquecam" os fins de semana.

Outro fator que influenciou o meu distanciamento foi o surgimento de duvidas. Depois de seis meses "isolado do mundo" (ao menos do mundo que eu conhecia e considerava "normal") e mais tempo ainda longe do trahalho com computacao, tudo me parecia incerto. Nisso ja se passaram mais seis ...

The only part of the Minster I hadn't been in was the Chapter House. The house is a octagon shaped meeting area for the clergy just off of the north transept. These rooms are common at most cathedrals. However, most of them have a central pillar supporting the roof. York's is the largest without a pillar. I have to make mention of a pillar that stands in the north transept. It seems that the north transept was in danger of collapsing a couple of hundred years ago. The walls were eventually shored up and reinforced. However, the pillars that had been holding the structure up were not replaced. One of these pillars has a definite bend to it. Yes, it's made of stone. I was pretty surprised to see it. Bending is not a quality one associates with stone. Yet ...
