Tonite (Tuesday) we are staying in Dallas with friends from Ohio that have lived here for a number of years.

Are looking forward to relaxing and sleeping in tomorrow! Then Thursday we will be directing the GPS toward home.

We decided to give downtown Dallas (and the Dealey Plaza where JFK was shot) a miss as the weather is grey and drizzley and we just can't be bothered with the thought of diabolical traffic when the JFK thing is something that our kids wouldn’t enjoy (Kate anyway, I think Josh would). We are now at Mom's place on the Lake outside Brownwood, Texas. Wow! You do not realize how bad the heat and drought are until you look at the lake.
