... hand pressed hamburger. I had their pasta and chicken salad that was flavorful and loaded with fresh tomatoes and roasted chicken served on angle hair pasta. Stuffed full, we then drove to the Brennan Winery to sip some wine. We visited this winery a couple of years ago and really liked their selection of reds. ... Later, we suffered through a poor showing of the Cowboys in their loss to the Eagles.

Friday, we drove to Vickie and Jack's house outside DeLeon and were treated to a very tasty Thanksgiving meal - is there a trend here? We got to spend some time with them and Logan, their grandson. We got in their ATV and drove around their property to check out their deer feeders and cattle. Can't wait to see the pictures of the finished restoration of their Mustang!

We had a GRAND TIME sharing past memories and photos, looking for red rocks for us to take back to Ohio and gathering unusual cacti that grow wild on Gary's 100+ acre farm.

Gary also had a restored 1930 Model A that we rode. What fun! Love the Texas ...

... conversation about where we’d come from and what we’d been doing. When we were dithering about trying the catfish, she told us she would get us a sample to try before we ordered – and came out a few minutes later with a whole fillet of catfish plus some pinto beans (which Fred had been asking about) for us to try. The catfish was delicious so we both ordered it for lunch.

... knows why we are here. His part of the book starts off "I'm a ***********", so he signs the book "Big O. B.S. and BBQ - The perfect combo!". He maybe a BS'er, but his BBQ is not! The brisket was very tender and smoky, the suace (there are two kinds) is very good, and the sides are good old fashion Texas good eat'n. The town is one of those "don't blink or you will miss it" places, but we would recommend this BBQ joint to anyone.
