We arrived in Brownwood after a full day of driving from Van Horn. After getting set up at the Shady Oaks RV Park, we went to Kathy and Dennis' house. Later, Shawn, Phillip and Skye dropped by with their kids. Kathy out did herself by cooking all of us a delicious dinner of grilled pork chops, mashed potatoes, cantaloupe, salad, and bacon wrapped jalapeno cheese poppers. Good eats!

The day before Thanksgiving, we moved to Brownwood to visit with Kathy and Dennis and Vickie and Jack.

Once we got set up, we went to Kathy and Dennis' house to visit, and later that evening, were treated to pizzas that were stuffed with all kinds of goodies.

Thanksgiving day, we, and their daughters and family met at their house and were treated to a wonderful Mexican food meal rather than the usual turkey, etc - a tradition started a few ...

Tonite (Tuesday) we are staying in Dallas with friends from Ohio that have lived here for a number of years.

Are looking forward to relaxing and sleeping in tomorrow! Then Thursday we will be directing the GPS toward home.

... town names we’ve driven through today: Blanket, Early, Comache, Meridian & Trinidad. All of these towns had their own character and some looked straight out of a movie set. We stopped at another tiny town called Iredell for lunch, at the 'Iredell Café’ – with a self proclaimed "Best Cajun catfish" sign on the front.
